General Questions
Q. I cannot find my Masjid on the platform
Only Masjids registered on eMadani Live appear in our channel lists, apps, and Home Receiver.
Please also check our partner platforms:
Different Masaajid may broadcast on different platforms.
If your Masjid is missing across all three platforms, please contact your Masjid and ask them to request addition to the eMadani Live platform.
Q. Do I need a licence or pay any fees to use this service?
The following are free for end users:
- Listen to live streams on our website or apps
- Receive notifications when your Masjid is live
- Listen back to published recordings
Charges only apply if you want automatic playback (autoplay) which requires either:
- An eMadani Live Home Receiver, or
- An Autoplay licence for your Android/Amazon Fire device
Both options are available via the Shop.
For Masaajid, a low annual charge applies. A small setup fee may also apply. Annual fees include recordings for all channels.
Devices & Applications
Q. Which devices and software can I use with eMadani Live?
You MUST ONLY use official methods:
- Player on the website: https://emadanilive.co.uk/,
- Embedded mini player (for Masjid websites and apps and available to via the eMadani Live portal)
- eMadani Live app on Android, Amazon Fire, or Apple iOS
- eMadani Live Home Receiver
Our official devices, apps and websites are properly designed to work with our service unlike third party solutions/software.
You MUST NOT:
- Connect directly to the raw audio stream
- Use third-party apps (e.g. VLC)
- Use third party internet radio/home receiver devices
- Use unsupported smart speakers
- Relay streams via another server
- Integrate the service into your own website/app without the official mini player
Unsupported methods impact our service and are not designed to work with our platform.
Any misuse could result in your IP address or device being blocked on our servers.
Autoplay
Q. Which devices support Autoplay?
Supported:
- Android* Phones / Tablets
- Amazon Fire Tablets.
*Note: Please see the licence page for more details, as certain Android devices do not include the necessary Google software from Google to support Autoplay.
Not supported:
- iPhone/iPad
- Google Home
- Alexa
- Amazon Echo
- Meta Devices
- All other smart speakers
Q. I have purchased the autoplay licence and it is unreliable or does not start
This is usually due to battery optimisation or power-saving features.
Please follow the troubleshooting instructions below:
Step 1 – Ensure the Masjid you want to play automatically is set to Autoplay Enabled.
- Open Masjid page on the eMadani Live app
- in the bottom corner, it should say “Autoplay Enabled” in Green (not Enable Autoplay).
Step 2 – Ensure Battery Optimisation is disabled:
Within the eMadani Live application
- Ensure Step 1 is complete and Autoplay is Enabled
- click on the three vertical dots on the top right
- click on “eMadani Live Settings”
- click “Autoplay & Notification Settings”
- Check if any Warnings are shown on the page.
Please action these warnings.
The most important warning to action is the warning regarding Battery Optimisation.
Step 3 – Disable Smart Suspend (Amazon Fire Users only)
- Ensure you have downloaded the eMadani Live application from the Amazon App Store, not Google Play Store
- Go to “Settings” in the Amazon Fire Tablet (settings icon within the Home Tab – not in eMadani Live)
- click on “Battery”
- Disable “Automatic Smart Suspend” and “Scheduled Smart Suspend”
Step 4 – if issues persist, then reinstall the app
- Uninstall eMadani Live and then reinstall from the Amazon Store (Amazon Fire users) or Google Play Store (Android users)
- and follow steps 1-3 again.
Q. Is the Autoplay Licence included with the eMadani Home Receiver?
Yes. The Autoplay licence comes included with the Home Receiver.
Q. I have changed my device. How do I move my autoplay licence?
Log in on the new device with your existing licence.
The app will warn that the licence is in use and allow you to remove it from the old device.
Q. How many devices can I use with one licence or email address?
Licences are per device.
Multiple licences can share the same email but each device requires its own licence.

Streaming and recording services are provided by eMadani Live and eMasjid Live Ltd on a best-effort basis. Uptime cannot be guaranteed.
Personal Use Licence
The eMadani Live service, including the website, app, servers, and Home Receiver, is licensed for personal use only.
Any commercial use, redistribution, or bundling of eMadani Live software, streams, or devices requires prior consent from eMadani Live (eMasjid Live Ltd).

Autoplay & Notification Reliability
Autoplay and notification reliability can be affected by device battery saving measures, server load, internet issues and other factors.
Content Responsibility
All content is the responsibility of the Masjid or channel. eMadani Live and eMasjid Live Ltd are not responsible for broadcast content.

Recordings are for personal listening only and are subject to copyright laws. Contact the content producer for other use.
